Tony Gambitsis, Fellow Chartered Accountant and Director

Meet Tony Gambitsis, a proud Lower Hutt local! After earning his degree from Victoria University, he kicked off his accounting career at Deloitte, where he became a Chartered Accountant in 1986. Just a few years later, in 1989, Tony teamed up with his father at Gambitsis Partners, and over time has transformed that original practice into the GCOL we know today.

What sets Tony apart is his genuine love for building strong, personal relationships with his clients. He believes that understanding his clients’ unique needs and ambitions is key to helping their businesses flourish. With a special passion for property and business development, Tony is truly dedicated to seeing others succeed.

When he’s not crunching numbers, you can often find Tony enjoying the great outdoors! He’s an avid mountain biker and squash player, having even served as President of the Mitchell Park Squash Club. He’s also actively involved in his community, contributing his time to various committees, including the RSA's Poppy Trust. Though his three adult children have spread their wings around the globe, Tony always makes time for his favorite pastimes—hitting the trails, enjoying music, and cheering on the Hurricanes and Wellington rugby teams!

In recognition of his contributions to the accounting profession, Tony was honored with a Fellowship from Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand in 2024. With a blend of professionalism and a passion for life, Tony truly embodies what it means to be a dedicated accountant and community member.
